The "opening night" of the Barlow-Barlow exhibition was a great party -- even for a jittery artist! I was so proud to be showing my work side by side with my Dad. Now it's back to the studio to get that paint flowing again!
Dear Liz, I was so disappointed that we missed your opening this summer...we were driving past PC just as it opened though we didn't know it was happening until we returned to the city and looked through the mail. We would love to see you when you return to SLC; let me know via email as we are often at the summer 'cottage' up north. Hope all is well! Love, Jodi
“One of my earliest memories of art is watching my father, Philip Barlow, at the end of a long day, sitting and pondering a new painting he brought home from his studio. Did it “say” what his mind’s eye wanted it to say?
I took some creative detours – acting and writing – before finding my voice as an artist. I studied with amazing teachers and mentors in San Francisco, at UC Berkeley and the Art Students League of New York, but I have been influenced most by the work, words, wisdom – and the powerful “mind’s eye” of my father.
